Woolworths Supermarkets, the Australian supermarket chain, has reportedly hit the cover page for announcing a massive slash on the prices of its frozen goods. Authentic reports state that the supermarket giant will sell its select frozen food items at half prices on the 14th of March, right from 12 AM to 11.39 PM.

Woolworths’ latest move comes with a caveat advising customers in Australia to either order the products online or through pick-up, to cash in on the offer which is going to last just for one day.

According to a Woolworths spokesperson, the latest sale reflects the loyal purpose of the supermarket to provide its customers with high-quality products at reasonable and affordable prices. A special selection of freezer items, to be sold at half of their actual prices, will be available exclusively to customers by means of Woolworths’ online Delivery & Pick-Up, added the spokesperson. The one-day offer to be available Australia-wide is said to be excluding the ‘Prices Dropped’ and ‘Low Price Always’ branded products of Woolworths.

As per a report by Daily Mail, the half-price sale will be applicable on frozen products including meat pizzas, vegetables, ice-cream & desserts, sausage rolls and pies, seafood, chips & wedges among others. The sale is expected to highly interest the customers as they will be able to grab famous brands such as Steggles, Four N Twenty, McCain, Sara Lee, Birds Eye, Lean Cuisine and many more.

If sources are to be believed, the company’s latest promotional measure is likely to let customers choose from a wide selection of Woolworths’ freezer products, ranging from ice cream to frozen meals. Sources further cited that the buzzworthy sale initially came to the notice of a Facebook group called Markdown Addicts the previous week, as one of the posters of the sales promotion was spotted at a store in Queensland.

Apparently, a huge number of eager customers have already begun preparing their shopping lists, while many are looking forward to scoring a bargain.
