Five Guys, an American restaurant chain, has reportedly renewed its agreement with the software company, CM Systems LLC, and its food safety software, ComplianceMate, through 2025.
As per the statement made by Five Guys’ VP of Food Safety and Quality Assurance, Jim Gibson, ComplianceMate has emerged rapidly as the best solution for corporate and franchisee operations globally. With the integration of temperature monitoring and store management tools for food service organizations, the software serves as a complete integrated package for the company.
The restaurant company, unlike other QSR concepts, does not use frozen meat for burgers. Instead, all food is cooked fresh, and the stored ingredients in the refrigerators are monitored closely for quality and safety.
For the record, ComplianceMate adopts LoRaWAN IoT wireless sensors to continuously monitor temperatures and generate alerts automatically when temperatures exceed acceptable thresholds. These IoT wireless sensors function within its proprietary management software, which includes custom operating checklists deployed to improve operating efficiencies and ensure document compliance.
In addition, the entire system operates wirelessly and provides reports, alerts, and analysis of malfunctioning equipment, unsafe food, and other issues seamlessly within the organization before serving the food to the public. It eliminates concerns regarding human error as well as facilitates compliance with the HACCP guidelines of the U.S. FDA.
In 2011, Five Guys started using the ComplianceMate temperature-tracking solution. Currently, the solution is being incorporated as a part of the company’s global operations in 23 countries.
Thom Schmitt, ComplianceMate’s Vice President, has seemingly cited that the latest contract demonstrates the relationship between Five Guys and ComplianceMate as perfect partners for over a decade.
He further added that the two companies share the same goals and have been working closely to improve and efficiently execute food safety programs. In the future, the two companies are planning to enhance the systems or processes and allow data-driven decisions.
