For the record, Polar Shades, that primarily deals in custom outdoor and indoor shades, adjusted its manufacturing in March 2020 for providing PPE products to clients, nursing homes, hospitals and local first responders. The company can manufacture more than 1,000 face shields, 3,000 masks, 6,000 gowns in a single eight hour shift and has produced over 400,000 gowns and 300,000 masks till date. The manufacturing of PPE items kept business flowing for Polar Shades, and also created employment of over 70 new people. Currently, the company is planning to include quality PPE products as a part of the company’s regularly-offered products. Debra March, Mayor of Henderson, Nevada, reportedly said that when the community was facing critical shortage of PPE product and equipment to protect against exposure to the novel coronavirus, Polar Shades and its team stepped up to help and delivered the required products. S he added that the gowns, masks and other protective equipment that Polar Shades is producing locally have ensured the safety of residents and workers in Southern Nevada during the pandemic and by continuing to manufacture for fulfilling the demand for vital PPE products, the company is offering a true public service. Polar Shades recently expanded from producing masks and gowns to also producing ViruShield, its proprietary product which offers a unique solution for hair salons, offices, restaurants, hotels and other public gathering places.
