Vestas, a renowned Danish company working in wind turbine development and marketing, reportedly announced a new strategic partnership with DSV Panalpina, a renowned transport and logistics firm providing worldwide transport services.
Under this partnership, DSV Panalpina would execute and monitor special project and general freight transportation of Vestas, including outbound as well as inbound. By integrating volume and special project transport expertise of Vestas with DSV Panalpina’s scale and broad logistics expertise, this collaboration looks to simplify the global transportation setup of Vestas and create economies of efficiencies and scale for both companies.
The new partnership seeks to gain the benefits of integrating DSV Panalpina’s global reach with 60,000 employees across 90 countries and the entire range of services throughout the complete supply chain, with unparalleled experience and volume of Vestas, particularly special project transportation, stemming from delivering as well as installing over 70,000 wind turbines across 80 countries.
Group President and CEO of Vestas, Henrik Andersen stated that the company is thrilled to collaborate with DSV Panalpina and further meet the growing need for the company’s sustainable energy solutions. Integrated with the growing wind turbine size, the demand for wind-powered energy worldwide is making transportation and logistics more complicated and thus the company should scale its business more efficiently.
